Music Monday pt. 2
I just remembered how awesome this video is, so enjoy a second music video for Music Monday! This was my favorite video in high school, and it still leaves me feeling inspired.

Here's to frolicking through parks with good friends. Here's to chicken and waffles and the surprisingly delightful flavor combination of maple syrup and hot sauce. Here's to my grandma, for giving me grandpa's old camera to capture these memories. Here's to Cincinnati, and the many adventures to come.

memories look better on film
George & Cori, DAAP stairwell, 2011
This was when that I moved into my first apartment with one of my best friends, Cori (on right). She and I now look back on these months as our "grunge era." When we rarely did anything without saying, "Wanna smoke first?" Late night trips to Waffle House or IHOP, watching sunsets from the roof of George's house, driving around blasting music from the 1940s, house parties that would inevitably end with skyline, live shows, gathering in parking garages or stairwells or alleys, acting like street rats. These were some of the grittiest times of my life. I wouldn't take this back for anything (sorry mom and dad).
This past weekend, I grabbed two random rolls from my stash to get developed. The roll I happened to grab was from my Diana Mini, taken during the fall of 2011, a period that feels like a lifetime ago. Of all the photos on that roll, this one best describes my life at that time. What I love about a photo is how it can capture the essence of something so completely. No matter where I am in life, this image will always remind me of how it felt to be completely wild and free.
as soon as you're born
you start dying
so might as well
have a good time
Newest band obsession: Lord Huron
This song makes me want to run far, far away from my desk job and frolic through a field.
"My time is spent, baby please don't tell 'em just where I went."

I am Rebecca Ferrer _______.
I am an aspiring entrepreneur, world traveler, feminist, and eco activist.
I enjoy crossing items off my bucket list, playing ukulele/violin/mandolin, creating, going to the movies, hiking, yoga, airports, music, the smell of spring, outdoor markets, staring at the stars, cobblestones, spontaneity, and the feeling you get when you ride in the car with your head out the window and the perfect song comes on.
The only thing I am certain of is that I want to somehow leave my mark on the world.
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”
